Travel Itenerary

Day 1: Paro – Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport and transfer to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. En route, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Paro Valley. In Thimphu, visit landmarks like the Buddha Dordenma, Tashichho Dzong, and Memorial Chorten, and explore the local markets for Bhutanese handicrafts.

Day 2: Thimphu – Culture Sightseeing

Explore more of Thimphu’s cultural and natural highlights, including Changangkha Monastery, the National Library, and Simply Bhutan, a living museum. Visit the Handicrafts Market and take panoramic views from the Buddha point.

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha

Drive to Punakha, known for the stunning Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho and Mo rivers. Visit the dzong and its beautiful surroundings. In the evening stroll around Punakha valley and Kaja-Throm, a small market situated around the Punakha river.

Day 4: Punakha – Paro

Drive back to Paro, on the way visit Chimi Lhakhang which is a famous temple located in the Punakha Valley, Bhutan, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley, also known as the “Divine Madman.” The temple is renowned for its vibrant history and unique teachings, which often challenged societal norms through humor and unconventional methods. It is also known as the “Temple of Fertility” and is visited by many couples seeking blessings for children. The charming temple sits amidst picturesque surroundings, offering visitors a peaceful and spiritual experience. On the way back, stop at Dochu La Pass for breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Day 5: Hike to Tiger’s Nest

Embark on a scenic hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktshang), perched on a cliff, offering stunning views of the valley below.

Day 6: Departure from Paro

After a relaxed morning, you will be transferred to Paro International Airport for your departure, carrying memories of your Bhutanese journey.
